What you need to know!
Practice Locations
Trouts and practices are primarily held at Bath Local Schools located in Lima, OH.

Occasionally, if gym conflicts occur, we will move our teams to a nearby high school or college. In the past, we have also held practices at Upper Scioto Valley High School, Allen East High School, Ohio Northern University, Bluffton University, and the University of Northwest Ohio.
Although coaches have control over each team’s practice schedule, we strive to practice at least once/week. This depends greatly on the schedule of the athletes, especially our high school-aged athletes, as we understand many have spring sport obligations.
Scheduling
Our format and schedule will mirror that of prior years. We will participate in approximately 6 tournaments from mid-April though the end of May, typically Memorial Day weekend. Our schedule, as always, will be “family-friendly” and “spring sport-friendly”, made up of local tournaments consisting of great competition. With many “small school athletes” from Division 3 and Division 4 programs, we understand this brings an unique athlete that often has obligations to more than one school sport. Every year, we have numerous spring sport athletes and we encourage our players to put their priority on their school sports. With our family-friendly and spring sport-friendly schedule, we our able to accommodate the multi-sport athlete. We have had many spring sport athletes and have even had several regional-qualifier track athletes!
Our goal will remain the same: place our teams in front of great competition within a local radius that will ultimately make them better when they return to their school teams.
Fees / Sponsorship Program
This is very unique for our club. Both Boys and Girls Directors organize this program as we realize the cost for spring basketball is not cheap!! Our goal is to strive to help our athletes and their parents in any way possible. More information will be distributed once we have our rosters finalized. As a result of this opportunity, every year approximately 60% of our athletes get full costs of fees covered 100%, including uniform and registration costs!!
Growth
Since 2015, we have grown tremendously on both the girls and boys sides, but have been careful on how we have approached our expansion. At Team 419, we want to ensure we have the staff and capacity to give the players the best experience possible by providing quality instruction from qualified staff. We have been very fortunate to develop a staff consisting almost solely of high school assistant coaches, high school head coaches, and collegiate coaches. Some of our staff have been at it nearly 30 years! We are proud of our approach and confident this will lead us to continued success in the future.
Personal/Skill Development
Skill development is huge for us at Team 419. Our coaches are asked to make skill development a priority and devote time at each practice toward the fundamentals of the game. Additionally, we surround our teams with local athletes playing at the highest of levels. We have been fortunate to have connections with local collegiate athletes that will come assist or even play against our athletes at practices.
Taren Sullivan, Bath High school and University of Findlay graduate, who is competing overseas currently is a frequent at 419 activities and has developed positive relationships with many of our 419 alums. His experiences in college, G-League, and overseas makes him a wealth of positivity and knowledge for skill development, recruitment, and balancing life/school/athletics, and so much more. Taren holds many 1:1 sessions and group training sessions with our 419 athletes!
Micah Cook, Assistant Coach at USV and Team 419 coach, also does many 1:1 and group training sessions. If you’re interested, give Coach Cook a shout at (567) 674-4496!
